There has been so much going on at work it's scary. The City is in a major financial downturn and so we had to lay off three of my fellow coworkers. Everyone is on edge as they keep talking about more layoffs perhaps in June. Not too good.
On an upnote, I still have my job, I have my health, I have my wonderful hubby and my five great pups, I live in a home that's just suited for us all.I cranked out a couple of bracelets and four pair of earrings for a high school where my older sister lives, now I'm just waiting for the orders to start pouring in. Maybe sometime soon? Who knows. I guess some people feel I charge too much for my creations. Well, I take a lot of time to make sure everything is just right. I not only charge for materials but also the time it takes me to make something. I have read all over the 'net and that is what professionals say to do. Always charge for what your time is worth. Having said that, I feel my jewelry is perhaps even undercharged. But until I get a "name" for myself, I guess I'll have to surrender myself to the fact that people just don't want to pay for time and effort.
Here are some pics of the jewelry I made for the high school:
The terrier is their mascot, and the school colors are blue and white.
